The Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington is one of our most visited locations when it comes to weddings. The RBG hosts hundreds of weddings each season and they are the perfect venue since they are able to host your ceremony & reception. Rain or shine, winter or summer, the Royal Botanical Gardens is one of the most stunning and sought-after locations in Hamilton/Burlington to host your wedding. Here’s a peek at a few weddings photographed at the RBG
The courtyard off of the atrium has it’s own private waterfall. A wonderful area that guests are able to use when you book the Camilla & Peter Dalglish Atrium
One of the best additions to the RBG is the atrium. Gorgeous natural light throughout the day and into the evening is a photographers dream. Complete with two enormous living walls, they’ve brought the garden inside and it serves as a natural backdrop to your head table. As mentioned before, the atrium has it’s own private patio with art and back lit waterfall
This is the main ballroom at the Royal Botanical Gardens set up for an indoor wedding ceremony
The Royal Court (image below) is a private outdoor ceremony location that can seat up to 120 guests. The area is completely covered to protect your guests from rain & provide shade on bright sunny days. Around the perimeter you’ll find colourful plants and a ornamental pond that all help to create a quaint garden setting.
The Rose Garden Tent (pictured below) is located in Hendrie Park Gardens and can now seat up to 300 of your wedding guests. Outdoor wedding ceremonies in the Rose Garden Tent are available from the end of May until October.
One of the Royal Botanical’s biggest assets is their greenhouse. When it’s -15 or pouring 50mm of rain, you can still have stunning wedding photos.
The RBG is constantly improving the gardens and facilities. A great addition is the two huge ponds in the middle of the garden.
There are so many wonderful locations to photograph wedding portraits at the RBG. Hendrie Park Gardens is available for wedding photography if you are not getting married at the RBG. You’ll need to contact the Royal Botanical Gardens early since they typically book two years out. More information about their packages for wedding photography can be found on their website: https://www.rbg.ca/weddings
