New Years day last year I received and email from Lauren inquiring about packages and such. Considering it was coming from Lauren I figured it was a referral for one of her clients (see, she’s a wedding planner – Drysdale Events – check her out if your looking) So I emailed her back with some info and also asked what date “they” were interested in. She quickly emailed back “actually, the client is me!” Mike and Lauren hadn’t picked a date at that point but they did know roughly when they wanted to get married and Lauren knew that she had to have me as their photographer. I couldn’t have felt more honoured – knowing that they were willing to work around my existing schedule to have me on their wedding day. Thank you, thank you thank you for having me Mike & Lauren!

Some newborns can be a handful. Simona on the other hand was amazing. I really love the idea of letting it be a surprise. I figure this is one of the best gifts you’ll ever receive, personally I wouldn’t spoil it. Emotions will already be high in the delivery room and when the doctor says those 3 words, it will be well worth the wait.

Engagement photos are a time that we can typically get to know each other – but since I’ve known Erin for quite some time we spent the time together catching up and talking about their plans for their new years eve wedding.

It wasn’t long ago that I was out geocaching and came across this old looking red barn. I posted a picture and threw it up on Facebook and asked “who wants to go to a big red barn for some engagement photos” Within a few minutes Kyle asked if Erin had seen this yet (tagging her in the comment) It only took Erin a few minutes to say “Fun…I love it…can we go???” Here it is, a gem of a location on Hamilton mountain.
