Michael & Julie’s Wedding Photographs | Hamilton ON

We photographed Michael & Julie’s wedding in Hamilton this past Saturday. A rainy day in Hamilton, but rain adds an extra punch for fall colours. Their ceremony took place at the amazing St Vladamirs Ukrainian Orthodox Church and we headed over to McMaster University for a few quick bridal portraits with a classic car. Chris & Lanas Wedding Photographs | Osler House Dundas ON

Chris & Lana’s wedding at the Osler House was simple, sweet and full of in between moments. It’s the in between moments that can make some of the most spectacular photographs – a subtle glance, a small smile or simply reaching out for your partner’s hand.

Lana was able to see her guests arriving from her bridal suite

We heard a voice coming up the stairs asking “where are you Lana?” Lana replied, “I’m in the room to the left mom” I really love when I can capture the parents’ first look of their kids and this photo says it all.

For most of the time we were upstairs, Chris was playing guitar on the deck of the Osler House and relaxing with his best man.

This is one of my favorite photographs to date and one of the most honest. Chris was playing guitar while Lana walked down the staircase and greeted her father.

This photo really has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it don’t you think?

Jeff & Leah’s Country Wedding | Flamborough Wedding Photographer

I headed out to Flamborough last weekend to photograph their wedding – Cowboy hats, tractor tires and hay loft barn – Jeff & Leah’s wedding was nothing short of country.
Here are a few casual and candid shots of the groomsmen and Jeff before the ceremony

The wind was picking up and I saw all the hay blowing around in the barn and really wanted to play with an idea. As I started describing it to Jeff, he instantly said Entourage.

Here’s Leah and her gorgeous wedding dress. She was so cute and soooo ready to get married

While the weather wasn’t the best on Saturday, it held off long enough for their outdoor ceremony

When it started raining, we’d just hit the barn for some bridal portraits

Andrew & Jennifer | Liuna Gardens | Hamilton Wedding Photographer

It’s an honor to be asked to photograph a wedding, but it’s a pleasure to get to know them on a personal level and be able to call them friends. Andrew & Jennifer were pronounced husband & wife at the beautiful Liuna Gardens in Stoneycreek with friends and family that flew in from as far as British Columbia.

It’s said that not so pleasant things come in threes. So when I walked into Jenn’s hotel room and she asked how the guy’s were doing, I said “they’re doing great – the only thing is that Andrew forgot his tie but we got it figured out and he and the guys are looking sharp.” Jenn was quite relived and said “ah, that’s number three – nothing else is going to happen today.” See, Jenn’s car didn’t want to start in the morning when she was trying to get to Hamilton from Toronto but that wasn’t going to stop her from getting married to her honey and throwing a wicked party. The rest of the day was completely flawless and was filled with laughter, love and amazing food.
